In these two lessons of the Sony Sony Vegas editing course, we complete the series of tutorials, the compositing mode, and how to add the 3D effect of the 3D video.

compositing mode and 3D effect

شاهدالمقالة باللغة الإنجليزية

Lessin 30 |compositing mode | 3D effect

The Sony Vegas Pro program lets you work in a 3D environment, moving your video track on a z-axis.

To convert the track to the 3D, click on the Track Motion, and from the installation menu we choose 3D Source Alpha, showing the 3D settings and controls.

From the Layout menu, we define the Track view, which allows you to see Track from all directions.

Tracks can be scaled by clicking on one of the corners and dragging inside or out.

To move the track we click inside the rectangle with the drag, and move the mouse horizontally or vertically.

To rotate horizontally, stand on the horizontal axis x and pull with the mouse, rotate vertically on the vertical axis y and pull with the mouse, and rotate the tracks around the line of depth stand on the axis z circle and pull with the mouse.

Adjustments can also be made accurately using numeric values from the Task part left of the window:

x For horizontal movement.
y for vertical stirring.
z for in-depth stirring.
Volume, rotation and displacement can also be controlled.

Lesson 31 | Compositing mode

Compositing mode is a system for mixing the contents of the current track with the bottom contours, depending on the color, lighting and transparency levels of each track.

Compositing mode include:

Source Alpha

Add style.

Subtract

Multiply (Mask)

Cut

Screen

multiply

Overlay

Hard Light

Dodge

Burn

Darken

Lighten

Differences

Difference Squared

The default setting in the list is Source Alpha, which shows the current track in its colors and natural light without Compositing.

In the Add mode, the current Track colors are added to the lower grids, especially in the composite combinations, resulting in the combination of colors in each pixel and the appearance of light colors that tend to glow.

The Subtract subtracts the current color values of the current tracers from the bottom-bottom color values and produces new colors in the common area.
In the Multiply (Mask) mode, dark colors are combined into the bottom and become a mask. This is the transparent part as a black color, and the current turck content appears as a mask for the bottom.

In the Cut style, it cuts the current tracers from the bottom track, showing the top trailing content as a shadow only for all colors.

In the Screen mode, the light merges, combining the light colors of the current track on the bottom track, which is the opposite of the previous pattern multiply.

In the case of the Overlay mode, there is a wide contrast between light and dark colors. This mode is a combination of both the multiply and screen modes.

In Hard Light, the sharp light adds clear colors to the current tracers with a sharpness in the effect and is similar to the intensity of the intense and concentrated spotlight. The transparent part is considered a black color.

Dodge is a color gamut, combining the light colors of the current track on the lower track with increased brightness and lighting.

When you choose the Burn mode, the color burn will darken the background colors according to the colors of the current color.

Darken is any darker color, in which it chooses the darker color of each track and considers it the final color.

In Lighten mode, the lightest color, the lighter color is chosen from each track and is considered the final color.

In the Difference mode, any color difference, subtracting the dark color from the light color in each pixel produces a new color.

The last pattern is the difference squared, which subtracts the dark from the light and then hits the output in itself, resulting in increased darkening of the video.

Lesson 27 |Tracks

Tracks are divided into two types:

Video Track: Video clips, images, text and artwork are placed.

Audio Track: It is special for audio tracks.

Each track has its own settings and controls, which appear in the track header to the left of the track.

Add Track:

To add a new video track, right-click in a blank location and choose insert video track.

Or by clicking the mouse in the head of the track and we also choose to insert video track.

To add a voice track we follow the same method on the audio track.

Video and audio gestures can also be added by opening the Insert menu and selecting an audio track or video track.

You can also add ctrl + q or ctrl + shift + q.

Track Video:

In Video Track, you can hide and show the gestures. By clicking on mute, the current track is hidden, and clicking solo hides all video gestures except the current track.

The automation tool is used to adjust the movement of the track and its effects and degree of transparency as well as mixing or installation.

From track fx we do the effects and add the filters to the traps.

From track motion we move, scale, rotate, work in the 3D system and add effects to the track.

And bypass motion blur can act as a distraction for movement.

Sub-layers of partnerships can also be created.

From the compositing mode, we mix and install different systems.

At the level we control the degree of transparency of the track and its level of clarity.

God willing, we will show the details of these tools and how they will be used in subsequent lessons.

Track sound:

In the sound track, you can also hide the current track by clicking mute or hiding all the current combinations except by clicking on solo.

From track fx we list the sound effects and sound filters that appear in the window.

From automation we adjust the path effects.

From the vol index we raise and lower the sound.

From the pan pointer, we point the sound to the left or right speaker.

We will look at the details of the soundtrack tools in the acoustic engineering lessons in subsequent lessons.

Lesson 28 | track motion

In this lesson from the Sony Vegas pro editing course, we address Track Motion and explain how to move, scale, rotate and reflect the video track.

a feature that offers the ability to show more than one video in a single screen and easy to format, Art for repeated use in montage works.

To move, scale, and rotate, click on the Track motion tool in the track header, and the Settings window has a timeline to record movement by creating motion keys.

The preview box is available within the Motion Track window and has handles and a circle to move, scale and rotate Track.

The animate key can be copied by double-clicking on the timeline.

moving, scaling and rotation can be recorded accurately using the numeric values in the cells at the left of the window.

From x we move the track horizontally, from Y we move vertically.

from width and wight we zoom in and out.

numeric values can also change Track  rotation values, adjust the position of the center, and determine the key value of the rotation angle.

Lesson 29 | shadow and glow Track

To add a shadow effect or glow effect to the video track, click on the track motion.

We’ll notice that the timeline is 3 lines:

First line: represents the position of the track, and from it is moving, scaling and rotating the Track.

The second line: represents shadow options, including Blur, Intensity, Color, and Offset.

The third line: represents the glow options.

From the keyframe, we can control the shape of the movement keys when moving the shadow over time. It can directly control the shadow position of the workspace directly and change its size and rotation.

Sony Vegas effects

شاهد المقالة باللغة العربية

Lesson 13 | pinch punch effect

The pinch punch filter is similar to the concave and convex lens.

the spherize filter does a region wrap around the image and can control the settings.

This lesson deals with how the Punch Bunch works, which is a funny and comic effect.

It can magnify a part of the image or a character and reduce other parts of the image.

The effect views the fun house mirror effect, which displays concave mirrors and convex and distort the image of the characters standing in front of them and look funny and sarcastic.

The spherize filter is an additional option for the effect of pelleting,

with settings slightly similar to the previous filter, in which the image can also be worked and control the values of the pellet settings.

Lesson 14 |wave and swirl effects

The swirl filter rotates the layer around the center point, while the rotation angle and direction of the rotation can be controlled.

wave filter gives the appearance of the ripple in the shape of the wavy pockets, controlling the wavelength and width of the wave.

each setting of these settings has a stopwatch button which is used to record the movement during the passage of time on the timeline.

Lesson 15 | Rayes and spots effects part 1

In this lesson, which is followed by the editing course at Vegas Pro, we cover a range of effects of rays and light spots, including:

light rays, rays, glint, starburst, lens flare, bump map, min and max.

These filters give the effects of light rays with control of the color of light, amount of sensitivity, intensity,

its position and add a mask to control its spread, as well as the amount of smoothness, blending and purity or the appearance,

it allows control of the amount of length of radiation, Left, spread area and extended rays.

The effects of luminance give the effects of flash and shine to luminous places, controlling the intensity and spread of light horizontally and vertically,

controlling light color and degree of saturation, and the number of lines emanating from the rays.

Lesson 16 | Rayes and spots effects part 2

this lesson include how to work lens flare effects, when reflected on it, controlling the color and position of the light, the type of lens that determines the number of glow units, and the control of the volume of glow.

The effects include bump map effect, giving an indication of the inversion, visibility, control of the direction of the outflow, control of the depth of the source, type of light,

control of the direction of light by each type, control of the amount of luminance and the light, its position and level of concentration.

The effects also include starburst, giving an aura-like effect to the star explosion, and adding starred stars to it, with control of the brightness, intensity, strength,

number of star and secondary bands and their length, and the range and degree of light rotation.

The lesson also explains min and max filter that controls the upper and lower limits of the lighting, leading to pixel work of the image, and control of pixel values and shape.

Lesson 17 | mirror, cookie cutter and deform effects

Mirror Effect Reflects a side of the video and displays it on the other side, along a specific point, controlling the angle of rotation and position of the reflection center,

with the freedom to select and specify the color of the empty places in the video or leaving it transparent to show the content of the bottom strokes.

The cookie cutter Effect is used to show part of the video and hide other parts.

cookie cutter Effect has multiple shapes such as square, rectangle, arrow and triangle, allowing the addition of repeating these shapes to the horizontal axis or the vertical axis,

creating a frame for these shapes, controlling the frame color and frame size , As well as control the position of the cutter and then move it and record the movement on the timeline.

The deform filter is used to reshape the surface of the image or video.

deform effect  can extend, bend, compress and distort the video surface.

while controlling the value and direction of the distortion in detail for each side and sides of the video.

Each of these filters has preset templates registered in the template list, and can be selected for ready-to-use and fast use,

and new templates can be saved in the list with the required choices as desired by the editor of the video editing and editing.

Lesson 8 | blur effects

In this lesson, we explain the effects that give blur effect to the video or image, where Vegas pro has different shapes and methods to add this effect and control its options,

blur – defocus – noise – film grain – linear blur – medium – pixelate – radial blur.

Blur has multiple shapes and is available in many filters, which are similar in some settings and differ in some other filters.

It is useful for background work, and can be used as a glow effect, especially with text, which gives the effect of the surrounding fringes around the edges of the letters.

The options provide the possibility of adding a wavelet in the horizontal direction only or vertical direction only,

or in both directions together.

The filters provide the addition of the linear blur effect, which allows linear control of the zigzag and the orientation of the blurry.

It also provides a filter for the work of the circular screw,

which revolves around the center of the radial blur. Also, medium filters are available.

The pixelate filter deforms the image in boxes such as pixel boxes that hide the image’s details,

and use it to hide a part of the face in the case of movies where faces are not allowed for legal reasons.

Unlike refinement, filters are available to add granules to the image such as a noise filter and a film grain filter,

which adds small dots and grain to the image, and in some cases obscures the image’s features, clarity and purity.

Lesson 9 | brightness and contrast

In this lesson, we are exposed to filters for brightness and contrast effects, and brightness is to increase or decrease the light in the picture.

The contrast is the difference between the light and dark light, and the lighting and contrast filters in this lesson include: levels – brightness and contrast – light rayes – soft contrast.

The brightness and contrast tools are popular tools in photo editing and video editing software.

The video editor needs to control lighting and increase the brightness of the image or just a little bit of brightness.

This effect helps to achieve clarity and sometimes to express time through lighting.

It is also used to increase or decrease brightness In parts of the image or video.

Contrast increases the brightness of the image and vice versa.

Increasing the contrast value means that the light color becomes brighter and the darker color becomes more opaque, and the contrast contrast increases the sharpness and brightness of the image and can be used in the effects functions as well as the illustration function.

Lesson 10 | chroma key (green screen)

The chroma key effect is a filter used to convert green or blue background (or any other color) to a transparent color to allow the appearance of the lower-click content and to perform the necessary tricks.

This lesson is exposed to the chroma key-mask generators.

A detailed explanation of how the chroma keyer can be used to isolate or hide a color from the video and turn it into a transparent color shows the sections in the lower engagements,

a commonly used effect in montage and television photography.

A green (or blue) Add the chroma effect and then isolate the corset color and turn it into a transparent color.

The chroma filter is useful for small studio owners, or for those who do not have photography studios.

Anyone can put a green curtain in one side of the room and guide three ready-made or hand-lit headlights and record the video against that background.

Green, and install new natural wallpapers or designed with software images or video or graphics programs binary or three-dimensional,

and some small satellite channels recording programs in this way because of poor financial resources and the difficulty of processing large studios.

You can show or hide the transitions window by opening the View menu and then by clicking
View > Select> Window> Transitions.
The window is used to select and preview effects and control its detailed settings.
In the window to the left of the effect titles, when you select an address, you’ll see ready-made templates for this transition, and the effect by clicking and dragging it on the desired video, image, or text is inserted on the timeline.
The effect can be added at the beginning of the event or at the end, and it is usually used between two segments to determine the transition method from the first section to the second section.
When you drag and drop the transition to the video, the settings window automatically appears, with control options and settings, which often differ from one to another depending on the transition configuration.

If you close the settings window and want to re-edit, a button is available to edit the transition and appears within the transition area, and the transition duration can be controlled by increasing or decreasing the overlap area between the two adjacent segments.

If the transition is at the beginning or end of a single clip, the transition duration can be extended or shortened in the same way as the Fade in and Fade out.
